Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Master in Thermal Engineering and PhD in Mechanical Engineering.

He held teaching roles in public high school (1975-1981) and university (FEUP, 1981-2010; UCP Biotechnology School, 1995-2000; Lusófona University of Porto, 2012-presently), working in undergraduate courses and Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Environmental Management and Engineering and Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. The most frequently subjects were Physics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics and Experimental Methods in Thermal Engineering. He supervised twelve master’s thesis and collaborated as a trainer in postgraduate and specialization courses in the area of energy (management, renewable sources and energy efficiency) at FEUP, INEGI and ISQ.

Areas of Expertise: Modeling of Transfer Phenomena, Metrology and Experimentation in Thermal Engineering.

Participated in studies and research projects and experimental development in the field of solar thermal energy, thermal drying and indoor air quality (FEUP, IDMEC, INEGI).
