Guilherme Moura Paredes is a Postdoc and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions fellow in the Department of Civil Engineering at Aalborg University, Denmark. He obtained an Msc and PhD (finishing Cum Laude) in Civil Engineering from the University of Porto, Portugal.

He is interested in marine renewable energy devices. More specifically, his work examines mooring systems for wave energy converters. Currently, he is working on European funded project “MoWE – Mooring of floating wave energy converters: numerical simulation and uncertainty quantification” regarding application of numerical methods for uncertainty quantification in the probabilistic design of mooring systems for wave energy converters.
Other research interests include physical modelling of floating structures, development of laboratory equipment, and time-series analysis.
